![]() ![]() Is there some way to work up on something really low end, or do I just need to start a new campaign alltogether and hope for better luck next time? Because at this rate, I'm accruing more stress than I can bleed off and there's just no real progress being made. I'd like people to read my initial experience with this game and answer the question of what can really be done when you're 8 weeks in, half of your roster is too stressed to do much, and what you have left isn't capable of finishing a 100% completion quest? (Understand, there's little to be done when you're 5/9 rooms cleared and simply don't have the means to continue due to circumstances out of your control) I've looked at other threads and see the usual dull responses of 'git gud' and 'play better', usually from the same few people, and all ignoring how heavy influence of RNG makes both of those all but negligible. ![]() This is only further compounded by how dungeon difficulty scales by time played, meaning that anyone unfortunate enough to have a group of low adventurers by week 8-10 is pretty much done. In DD, dropping out of a dungeon early is a net loss in resource with a stress penalty to all involved heroes - which is another drain on resources (since they don't de-stress when idle apparently) and further sets up the next dungeon delve for crippling failure. ![]() In the case of FTL (a frequent comparison), it was as simple as starting over. I think that the persistence element of this game only makes the worst of it, as it's currently ballanced. there just doesn't seem to be much to mitigate the worst of RNG. 'Difficult' in the sense that it's not hard to figure out. My first thought after some hours into the game (which I enjoy, by the way, great work overall), is that I'm not sure what to make of the kinda-wonky 'difficulty'. ![]()
